On November 5, at an extraordinary meeting of the Academic Board of the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU), the Rector of the Middle East Technical University of Türkiye (METU), Professor Mustafa Verşan Kök was awarded an Honorary Doctor diploma of the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University.

 Speaking at the award ceremony, ASOIU Rector Professor Mustafa Babanli informed the Board members about the life and work of Professor Mustafa Verşan Kök and his contribution to education and science.

 Noting the activities of METU, which is one of the main partners of the international scientific conference held at ASOIU, the Rector, Professor Mustafa Babanli, emphasised that Professor Mustafa Verşan Kök deserves this honorary title and expressed gratitude to the guest for accepting the invitation and coming.

 Then the Rector, Professor Mustafa Babanli, presented the guest with the ASOIU Honorary Doctor diploma.

Mustafa Verşan Kök said that he was happy to be in a brotherly country, particularly in such a prestigious university, and expressed gratitude to the Board members and the university management for the trust and high appreciation given to him. Then the guest made a speech on the need for parallel development of science and knowledge and expressed confidence in the successful cooperation with ASOIU at a new level in this direction.

 Then the graduates of ASOIU and METU participated in the event, thanked the management of both universities and expressed good wishes.
