On November 30, a regular meeting of the Academic Board was held at the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU). Minister of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan Irada Ayupova met with ASOIU Rector Professor Mustafa Babanli and participated in the Academic Board meeting. The guest was introduced to the Board members. It was noted that she arrived in Azerbaijan as part of a delegation led by the President of the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation, Rustam Minnikhanov and decided to take this opportunity to visit her native AzII university, its management, and also meet with the staff. Speaking at the Academic Board, Minister Irada Ayupova noted that she is a graduate of the AzII and said that today students representing this educational institution all over the world always remember their native university with warmth. She expressed satisfaction with her stay in Azerbaijan, including at ASOIU, and thanked the university's management and Academic Board members for their attention.
After the visit of the invited minister, the Academic Board continued its work. After approving the agenda items, the Rector, Professor Mustafa Babanli, made an extensive report on "Innovations in Higher Education: Current Situation and Problems". The report touched upon severe points concerning modern education and its development, which aroused the board members' interest. The adaptation of new technologies with pedagogical tools, innovations applied by administrators and teachers in education, and other similar issues were carefully analyzed through slides.
Then the scientific secretary, Assoc. Professor Narmina Aliyeva spoke on the topic "Competitive and qualifying works", Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Assoc. Professor Gasim Mammadov said about the rules for certification of exams conducted by the British Council on the subject of "Business and Academic Communication in a Foreign Language". At the meeting of the Academic Board, the Dean of the Oil-gas production Faculty, Professor Elman Iskandarov, made an annual report on the activities of the faculty, admission statistics, achievements, innovations and further work.
At the meeting of the Academic Board, after discussing the issues on the agenda, the board members made unanimous decisions. The Rector, Professor Mustafa Babanli, expressed his comments and suggestions on all issues and instructions on the upcoming work.
