Energy Crisis and Cybersecurity event completed at ASOIU

On December 7, the Energy Crisis and Cybersecurity event, held at the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU), within the ELECTRON project of the "HORIZON 2020" program, to which the university is a partner, was completed.

On the event's second day, Professor Mustafa Babanli, the Rector of ASOIU, presented "Azerbaijan: the centre of science and industry" and spoke about the ancient centres of science and industry of our country, as well as the historical stages of development.

Professor Theodoros Theodoulidis, the Rector of the University of Western Macedonia in Greece, Farid Zaliev, the Head of the Department in Education and Innovation Center of Azerishiq OJSC, representatives of SOCAR, bp, as well as representatives of the European Commission for Education and Research, Energy and Cybersecurity, attended hybrid event and made presentations on energy security and effective energy policy in the world and Azerbaijan. In addition, lectures were heard, and discussions were held on the rules for the application and use of new digital technologies, the construction of modern laboratories in this direction, and holding working meetings as part of the HORIZON 2020 project.

It should be noted that representatives of the European Commission for Education and Research, Energy and Cybersecurity, as well as influential European organisations in these areas, including project managers related to cybersecurity and the HORIZON program safe energy classification, energy providers, and representatives of cybersecurity organisations, took part in the event online and offline.
