On December 17, the 13th Alumni-Career Exhibition was held at the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU). Speaking at the exhibition's opening ceremony, Professor Mustafa Babanli, ASOIU Rector, welcoming the participants, said that the Alumni-Career Exhibition, traditionally held at the university, plays an essential role in providing jobs for students and graduates and expanding internship opportunities. He noted that such exhibitions play a crucial role in establishing relations between enterprises and organisations and our students and graduates, determining which area is most interesting for our youth and providing jobs.

Kamal Abbasov, Deputy Minister of Energy and Mustafa Abbasbayli, the Chairman of the Board of the State Employment Agency, noted that such exhibitions play an essential role in employing students and graduates of their choice in Azerbaijan. It was pointed out that the organisation of such exhibitions is necessary, and cooperation with students and universities is also a suitable platform for identifying the needs of the labour market.

It should be noted that 90 public institutions and private companies, including the Ministry of Energy, Ministry of Economy, the State Employment Agency, Azerbaijan Food Safety Institute, SOCAR, Azerenerji OJSC, State Service for Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control, Baku Metro CJSC, Turan Drilling and others participated in the exhibition. In total, ASOIU students and graduates were offered more than 260 vacancies and 280 internships. Students and graduates presented more than 1,400 resumes at the exhibition to company representatives.

It should be noted that since 2015 the Alumni-Career Exhibition has been held twice a year at ASOIU. To date, ASOIU graduates and students have been offered 4,516 vacancies and internships at these exhibitions.
