XV Republican Universiade on chess, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev was held among higher education institutions jointly organised by the ministries of youth and Sports, Science and education, and the “Ganjlik” Student Sports Society.

Students of Azerbaijan state oil and Industry University (ASOIU) won first place in Table tennis at the XV Republican Universiade.

The ASOIU team won first place after an intense struggle and won the final against Baku Higher Oil School students.

It should be noted that the Universiade, held annually with the support of the ministries of Youth and Sports, Science and education of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the “Ganjlik” Student Sports Society, aims to promote physical education and sports among students.
