On March 17, an event on the Novruz holiday was held at the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU).

The ASOIU Rector, Professor Mustafa Babanli, academic staff and university students attended the event.

Recalling that the Novruz holiday is one of the most ancient holidays reflecting the national traditions of our people, the Rector, Professor M. Babanli, wished peace, prosperity and good health to students and the university staff, as well as to the entire Azerbaijani people.

Then a festive fire was lit in the university's courtyard.

The event continued with folk dance numbers performed by ASOIU's Ganjlik Song and Dance Ensemble, and students performed various musical numbers.
