On March 29, the next meeting of the Academic Board was held at Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU). After informing the Board members about the issues on the agenda, Professor Mustafa Babanli, ASOIU Rector, spoke about the educational policy, work done, innovations and shortcomings at the University.
Reports were heard following the agenda of the meeting. Thus, Associate Professor Narmina Aliyeva, Scientific Secretary, made a report on competition and qualification works, Associate Professor Rafig Jamalov, Vice-Rector for International Relations, made a report on the international relations of ASOIU, Professor Sevinj Mammadkhanova, Dean of the Faculty of Chemical Technology, on the annual activity of the faculty, Bahruz Nazarov, director of the Department of Public Relations and Marketing made a report on the status of all types of practices organised during the spring semester of the 2022-2023 academic year.
Professor Mustafa Babanli, Rector of ASOIU, spoke about the preparation for ASOIU's QS rating, assessment of the work of teachers teaching in the speciality "renewable energy engineering", approval of the regulations of the project management office, gave detailed information to the Board members and spoke about the concrete steps to be taken.
The Board members discussed the issues of awarding students with high results in IELTS exams and establishing a "Sports scholarship" for each member of ASOIU's basketball team.
After discussing the agenda items at the meeting of the Academic Board and making unanimous decisions, Professor Mustafa Babanli, the Rector, made comments and suggestions on all issues and gave instructions on the upcoming work and future goals.
