On April 26, the regular meeting of the Academic Board was held at Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU).
Before discussing the meeting agenda issues, an agreement was signed on establishing a joint branch of the Departments of “Petrochemical Technology and Industrial Ecology”, “Technology of Organic Substances and High-Molecular Compounds”, and “Technology of Chemical and Inorganic Substances” of the Chemical Technology Faculty of ASOIU to operate under the Institute of Petrochemical Processes named after Y.H.Mamedaliyev. The parties spoke about the work and projects to be done within the framework of the contract and expressed their hope that cooperation in this area would yield a positive result. The document was signed by Professor Mustafa Babanli, ASOIU Rector, and academician Vagif Abbasov, Director of the Institute of Petrochemical Processes.
At the meeting of the Academic Board, Professor Mustafa Babanli, ASOIU Rector, congratulated Professor Alasgar Aliyev on his 75th anniversary and wished him good health and success in his activities.
After informing the board members about the issues on the agenda, Professor Mustafa Babanli, Rector, spoke about the work done at the University, innovations and shortcomings.
Reports were heard within the agenda of the meeting. Assoc. Prof. Hamlet Huseynov, Director of IESDRI, made a report on the internship of the teaching staff and the organization of professional development, Assoc. Prof. Ilham Rustamov, the dean of the Economics and Management Faculty, made a report on the annual activity of the Faculty.
At the meeting of the Academic Board, Rasim Abdullayev, Director of the Digital Development and Innovation Center, made a report on the approval of the road map of the Center. He informed the Board members about the work done by the Center in a short time and the upcoming goals.
According to the agenda, Professor Mustafa Babanli, Rector, brought to the discussion of the Board members the regulations of the Data Analytics Center, interim assessment of students in the exams to be held in English and several issues on the agenda. After discussing the agenda items at the meeting of the Academic Board and making unanimous decisions, Professor Mustafa Babanli, the Rector, made comments and suggestions on all issues and gave instructions on the upcoming work and future goals.
