The HSE conference was held on April 29. The academic staff of the Department of "Industrial Safety and Labour Protection" of ASOIU and students of the graduation group of speciality "Life Safety Engineering" also attended the conference. In the work of the conference, the speeches of local and foreign experts on the current problems, requirements, training and services related to Labor and Environmental Protection, technical safety, quality, and diagnostics of techniques were heard. Head of "TCS" company, which performs training and Engineering Services following the requirements of international accreditations in many industries, where employees and equipment are given particular importance to be certified, Anar Malikov noted that ASOIU is a higher education institution that attaches particular importance to attracting students to international certification in HSE. ASOIU and" TCS" have already signed a cooperation agreement in this area.
Currently, ASOIU's 13-member teaching staff has joined the "Trainer's training" courses to obtain international certificates. Starting September 2023, ASOIU senior students at the Bachelor's level will pass 30-hour training courses on HSE. Those who have achieved a reasonably high indicator will be awarded the I-level international HSE certificate. Alan Stevens, the responsible representative of IOSH, the global certifying company, also highly appreciated this project.
At the end of the event, the employees of the Department of "Industrial Safety and Labour Protection" were presented with certificates of participants. Prof. Sakit Rasulov, Head of the Department, was awarded the HSE Mentor of the Year award.
