On May 4, the Republican Scientific Conference of Young Researchers and Doctoral Students dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the national leader Heydar Aliyev started at Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU).

The conference began with laying a wreath at the bust of great leader Heydar Aliyev.

After the performance of the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan, a short film about the life and creativity of great leader Heydar Aliyev was demonstrated.

Speaking at the conference's opening ceremony, Professor M.Babanli, Rector, noted that this year's conference dedicated to the 100th anniversary of great leader Heydar Aliyev is of particular importance and, therefore, a great responsibility falls on young doctoral students and researchers. Professor M.Babanli, the Rector, also spoke about national leader Heydar Aliyev's youth policy and said that today this mission is successfully continued by President Ilham Aliyev and great opportunities are created for the young people's scientific research; and wished success to the conference work.

Then, Professor Jamal Mustafayev, the head of the Department of Humanitarian Disciplines of ASOIU, and Professor Latafat Gardashova, Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs, spoke about the invaluable role of great leader Heydar Aliyev for the Azerbaijani people, as well as the importance of the conference.

It should be noted that the two-day conference will host plenary sessions on various sections (Geology and Geophysics, Development of oil and gas fields, Chemistry, Chemical-Technology, Mechanics and mechanical engineering, Energy and energy resources, Ecology and safety, Automation and informatics, Economics and management).
