On May 11, the first International Conference on the 4th Industrial Revolution and Information Technologies started at Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU).
Speaking at the conference's opening ceremony, Professor Latafat Gardashova, ASOIU Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs, noted the importance of the conference held for the first time in Azerbaijan to increase modern IT knowledge, solving existing problems and broad application of artificial intelligence.
Associate Professor Nazila Rahimova, head of the Department of Computer Engineering of ASOIU, said that the 4th Industrial Revolution in terms of scale, volume and complexity is not similar to any of all previous experiments of humanity and said that an amazing technological breakthrough awaits us in the widest areas, including artificial intelligence, robots-cars, nanotechnology, biotechnology.
Elmir Velizadeh, Head of Division of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Fariz Jafarov, Deputy Executive Director of the Fourth Industrial Revolution Analysis and Coordination Center, Mahbuba Valiyeva, head of the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology and Management of Azerbaijan Medical University (AMU), Babek Agayev, co-founder and chairman of Prosol CJSC, Rauf Jabarov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Association of Cybersecurity Organizations of Azerbaijan (AKTA), ASOIU Associate Professor Yashar Hajiyev and others spoke about the importance of the conference in terms of the development of IT, digitalization of the industry, as well as the expansion of the application of artificial intelligence and wished success.
Then the conference continued its work with panel sessions.
It should be noted that the conference will end on May 12.
