ASOIU Rector meets with the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Azerbaijan

On May 12, Professor Mustafa Babanli, Rector of Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU), met with Go Min, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Azerbaijan.

Noting that he was pleased to see the guest at the University, Rector, Professor Mustafa Babanli gave detailed information on the existing education and training process, international cooperation and upcoming projects. Noting that ASOIU has cooperation with higher educational institutions in China, Professor Mustafa Babanli, the Rector, said that the relations between China and Azerbaijan are based on historical roots, and they are developing successfully not only in the field of education but also in other directions.

Go Min, the Ambassador, said she greatly loved Azerbaijan and was pleased to be at its most advanced University. Speaking about the breadth of diplomatic relations and successful cooperation between the two countries, the Ambassador brought to the attention that the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University and its successful graduates are well-known in her country. 

At the meeting held in the format of a mutually sincere conversation, Ambassador Go Min compared ASOIU with the leading universities of her country and said that she would do her best to develop further cooperation between the higher education institutions of the two countries. During the meeting, the Ambassador noted that she wants ASOIU future Chinese students to have the opportunity to study not only their speciality but also the Azerbaijani language. Professor Mustafa Babanli, the Rector, said that professional academic staff teaches students at the University, and he will pay attention to training in the Azerbaijani language for Chinese students.

Then the Ambassador and the delegation visited Heydar Aliyev Museum, Mineralogy Museum, History Museum, and AzII E-Book House, got acquainted with the University more closely, and wrote their heartfelt words in the Guest Book of the University.
