On May 12, Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU), jointly organised by the Faculty of Power Engineering and the Student Trade Union Committee, held the “Founder of the National Energy Strategy” event dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev.

At the event, a short film entitled “Heydar Aliyev and Azerbaijan Energy” was demonstrated, which tells about the contributions of national leader Heydar Aliyev to the energy sector of Azerbaijan.

Then student Ruhangiz Isayeva made a presentation on “Man of the Century and Contract of the Century”.

Associate Professor Aydin Aliyev, dean of the Faculty of Power Engineering, made a speech on “Heydar Aliyev and Azerbaijan’s Electric Power”. Speaking about the main directions of the energy strategy laid by the great leader, A.Aliyev noted that energy policy further strengthens Azerbaijan’s strategic position in the region and that energy diplomacy has played an essential role in the country’s achievements in the regional and global spheres in recent years.
