On June 3, a meeting with the Oil Mechanical Faculty alumni was held at Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU).

The meeting, initiated by ASOIU's Oil Mechanical Faculty and Sakit Samadov, Rector's Advisor on University-Industrial Cooperation and Alumni Affairs, witnessed the presence of over 40 ASOIU alumni. 

During the meeting, Associate Professor Ali Hikmat Ahmadov, the dean of OMF, provided the alumni with updates on the university's recent advancements in education, training system, and notable scientific achievements. Emphasising the significance of collaboration with alumni, the dean expressed gratitude to the attendees for their participation in the event, as well as for their ongoing interest in maintaining strong ties with their alma mater.

Moreover, Associate Professor Rafig Jamalov, ASOIU's Vice-Rector for International Relations, and Sakit Samadov, Rector's Advisor on University-Industrial Cooperation and Alumni Affairs, emphasised the high demand for ASOIU graduates in the labour market. They highlighted the importance of collaboration and cooperation between the university and its alumni. During the meeting with the participation of the Oil Mechanical Faculty academic staff, it was emphasised that ASOIU would continue communicating with alumni through the newly established joint platform and support its graduate development.

Alumni representing various graduation years had the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the university's accomplishments. Furthermore, they voiced their suggestions and proposals, expressing their eagerness to explore new collaborative projects and goals that strengthen partnerships. Also, the alumni displayed their readiness to offer support in facilitating employment opportunities for students and organising successful internships.
