On June 25, Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) held Graduation Day. The event was attended by Professor Mustafa Babanli, the Rector of ASOIU, Aydin Mirzazade, Chairman of the Public Trust Council of the University, Mashur Mammadov, Member of Parliament, Haji Nuran Huseynov, Chairman of “AZII Alumni” PU, Ilham Shaban, Director of the “Caspian Barrel” Oil Research Center, as well as academic staff and graduates.
The ceremony commenced with the national anthem, followed by a congratulatory address from Rector Professor Mustafa Babanli, who extended his heartfelt congratulations to all the graduates and wished them success in their future endeavours. On June 26, an important date in our history, Graduation Day was held, coinciding with the eve of the 105th anniversary of the establishment of the National Army of Azerbaijan. During his speech, the Rector highlighted the enduring remembrance of ASOIU’s graduate martyrs and all the heroic sons who sacrificed their lives for our motherland. Professor Mustafa Babanli expressed confidence in the abilities of our graduates, stating that they will become exemplary citizens of Azerbaijan, equipped with their knowledge, skills, and dedication to their country. Regarding the quality of education provided at ASOIU, highlighting the institution’s commitment to meeting the demands of the modern labour market, Rector Professor Mustafa Babanli ensured that AZII graduates remain highly sought after.
MP Aydin Mirzazade, recalling the evident success of the educational reforms at ASOIU implemented in the country in recent years, extended his congratulations to the administration, faculty, and graduates. As the Chairman of the Public Trust Council, MP had personally witnessed the knowledge and skills of this year’s graduates during the examination processes and emphasised the high expectations placed upon them.
Graduates with outstanding academic achievements were awarded during the ceremony, and their names were engraved on a symbolic stump. Following the formal part, the event continued with captivating musical performances.
It is worth mentioning that in the 2022/2023 academic year, a total of 3,904 students graduated from Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University. Among them, 2,643 students completed their Bachelor’s degrees, while 991 earned their Master’s degrees. Additionally, 52 Bachelor’s graduates and 20 Master’s graduates from ASOIU gained admission to prestigious universities in over 20 countries around the world.
