Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) released the 'QS World University Rankings for the year 2024, which provides a ranking of global universities. The QS World University Rankings are determined based on 9 key indicators. One of the newest among these indicators belongs to the "Employment outcomes" indicator. According to this indicator, ASOIU is 271 among universities in the world and 1st among universities in Azerbaijan.
2963 best universities from 104 countries took part in this year's ranking. Among these universities, 1499 achieved high results and entered the QS World University Rankings. For the first time this year, Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) has been ranked 1201-1400 in the QS World University Rankings.
It should be noted that in 2023, compared to last years, the number of references to articles of the academic staff of ASOIU in the SCOPUS database increased significantly. ASOIU teachers' articles were published in Q3 and Q4 quartile journals, which had a high impact factor. This can be considered a clear example of internationalization in the field of scientific research at ASOIU.
