An article by ASOIU graduate Kristina Qoryunova has been published in the RSC Advances journal, a part of the world's metric databases (Web of Science Q1, Scopus).
This year, our graduate completed her bachelor's degree in "Chemical Engineering" at ASOIU with distinction. During her studies, she began conducting research under the guidance of Professor Yunis Gahramanli in the Department of "Technology of Chemical and Inorganic Substances" to obtain quartz aerogels and composite materials based on them. K. Qoryunova successfully conducted several research projects within the "Technology of Chemical and Inorganic Substances Department." Based on numerous experiments, Kristina obtained samples of quartz aerogels under extreme conditions, with a high pressure of 10 MPa and at an extremely low temperature. She conducted analyses using Infrared Spectroscopy, Scanning Electron Microscopy, and other modern techniques. The obtained results were presented at three conferences. The young researcher achieved successful presentations at conferences, including the conference dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev, the "Republic Scientific Conference of Doctoral Students and Young Researchers," the "Xazarneftqazyatag 2022" International Scientific-Practical Conference, and others.
It's worth mentioning that Kristina Qoryunova has been admitted to the master's program in "Physical Chemistry and Chemical Engineering" at UFAZ for the academic year 2023-2024. Alongside her studies, she is currently engaged in scientific research within her specialization.
