On August 24, UFAZ students participated in flights aboard the "Air Zero G" aircraft of the French National Center for Space Research, experiencing weightlessness, parabolic flights, and flights simulating the gravity of the Moon and Mars.
Omar Nuruzada, Gular Ismayilova, Sanan Chaharkama, Araz Shafiyev, and Emin Xalifayev earned the opportunity to participate in this flight as the Act In Space International Space Hackathon winners.
After the flight, the students shared their impressions with us.
Omar Nuruzada: "It was very interesting. We felt the cosmos without actually going into space. It's a feeling that's very hard to put into words. But one has to experience this moment in person. It was very exciting. It was highly unexpected. My favourite part was flying in lunar gravity."
Emin Xalifayev: "We had the chance to experience Mars, the Moon, zero gravity, and weightlessness. The most intense feeling was when we realized our feet were off the ground and floating in the air. You can make crazy moves, like walking on the walls, standing on the ceiling, and even flying. About 5-6 hours after the flight, I still feel a bit sleepy and tired, but it was worth it."
