On August 29, Assoc. Prof. Vazeh Askarov, the Acting Rector of Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU), met with Rafik Aliyev, the President of the Azerbaijan Savate Federation, who holds the title of Honored Worker of Physical Education and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Outstanding Coach, Head Coach of the National Team, and has earned titles as World and European Champion in his career.

Initially, Assoc. Prof. Vazeh Askarov, as Acting Rector, provided the guest with a comprehensive overview of the university's ongoing activities. Throughout the meeting, they discussed matters related to educating young individuals, promoting physical education and sports, as well as organizing sports tournaments and events within the framework of the "Heydar Aliyev Year" initiative.

Subsequently, Assoc. Prof. Vazeh Askarov was presented with the "Heydar Aliyev Signature" medal and the Federation's new Vice President card, both prepared by the Federation within the framework of the "Heydar Aliyev Year."

It's noteworthy that Assoc. Prof. Vazeh Askarov has held the position of Vice President at the Azerbaijan Savate Federation since 2019.
