On September 6, Assoc. Prof. Vazeh Askarov, the Acting Rector of Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU), met with Javid Aliyev and Chingiz Asgarli, third-year students majoring in Oil and Gas Engineering in the SABAH program and attended the International Conference hosted by the Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG) and the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG) in Houston, Texas, USA.

Assoc. Prof. Vazeh Askarov congratulated the students for representing our country and university effectively at the International Conference and wished them success in their future endeavours.

It's worth noting that two students from ASOIU/UFAZ, Javid Aliyev and Chingiz Asgarli, have been actively participating in the conference, delivering comprehensive presentations. They have proudly represented Azerbaijan and have been recognised as the best student chapter for the 2022-2023 academic year by the Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG).
