On September 13, a meeting was held with the first-year students who have been admitted to the bachelor's programs of the Power Engineering Faculty and the Faculty of Information Technology and Control at the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU).
During the meeting, a brief video presentation provided an overview of the teaching process, specializations, as well as the university's material and technical resources.
Acting Rector, Associate Professor Vazeh Askarov, congratulated the young students on their admission and invited them to actively participate in the university's academic life during their educational period. Vazeh Askarov also spoke about the high-quality educational environment, international collaboration, double degree programs, laboratories, and centers established at the university.
ASOIU's Vice-Rector for Educational Affairs, Associate Professor Ata Babayev, introduced the students to the university's internal regulations and procedures. Faculty deans, including the Dean of the Power Engineering Faculty, Associate Professor Aydin Aliyev, and Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology and Control, Associate Professor Farid Agayev, as well as Namig Ganjayev, the President of the Student Trade Union Committee (STUC), and Javanshir Abdullayev, the President of the Student Youth Organization (SYO), also addressed the students. They provided detailed information about ASOIU's educational environment, specializations, examinations, and the effective organization of students' leisure time, among other related topics.
