Meetings between Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) administration and the first-year students admitted to the bachelor's programs continued from September 11th to 14th, organized according to the faculties and specializations.
During the meetings, the Acting Rector of ASOIU, Associate Professor Vazeh Asgarov, congratulated the students on their admission and spoke about the educational environment created at the university to shape them into highly skilled professionals. He emphasized the importance of not only theoretical knowledge but also practical experience, language skills, and IT knowledge enhancement during their academic journey. He invited them to actively engage, participate in various projects and student clubs, and make the most of the opportunities provided by the university.
ASOIU's Vice-Rector for Educational Affairs, Associate Professor Ata Babayev, familiarized the students with the university's internal regulations and procedures. Faculty deans and chairs of the Student Trade Union Committee (STUC) and Student Youth Organization (SYO) provided detailed information about the educational environment, specializations, examinations, and effective organization of students' leisure time at ASOIU.
It's worth noting that on September 14, a meeting was held with the first-year students admitted to the bachelor's programs of the Faculty of Information Technology and Control (FITC) and the Faculty of Economics and Management (FEM). The deans of the faculties, Associate Professor Farid Agayev for FITC and Associate Professor Ilham Rustamov for FEM informed the students about the faculties and the educational process. Meetings with first-year students admitted to other faculties were held from September 11th to 13th.
