ASOIU Acting Rector's acquaintance with classes on the first day of the academic year

On September 15, the first day of the 2023/2024 academic year, Acting Rector, Associate Prof. Vazeh Asgarov of Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU), visited the auditoriums, familiarizing himself with the course of the classes and wishing the students success in the new academic year. He encouraged the students attending classes in the auditoriums named after the 23 ASOIU alumni martyrs who sacrificed their lives during the 44-day Patriotic War for the liberation of our lands to approach their studies with a sense of responsibility and diligence. Associate Prof. V. Asgarov emphasized that students should do this to honor Azerbaijan's further strength and in memory of the martyrs.

Later, the Acting Rector of ASOIU, Associate Prof. V. Asgarov, and vice-rectors were in the auditoriums on the floor where the Azerbaijani-Turkish Friendship Center is situated. Associate Prof. V. Asgarov informed the students about the 105th anniversary of the liberation of Baku from the Armenian-Bolshevik occupation by the Caucasus Islamic Army led by Nuru Pasha and the Azerbaijan Corps on September 15, 1918. Just like a century ago, he emphasized the significance of the unity between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Turkiye, conveying its importance to the youth. He highlighted that the brotherly relations established on the slogan "One nation, two states" by the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev and developed during the presidency of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, hold great significance in the liberation of our lands. Emphasizing the exceptional importance of the formation of human capital today, Associate Prof. V. Asgarov extended his best wishes to the students for educational success, offering them advice.
