ASOIU students receiving certificates for successfully passing IELTS exams

On September 18, a ceremony was organized to commend the students of Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) who excelled in the IELTS exams within the framework of a project executed by the Education Quality Assurance Agency (EQAA) and the Education Development Fund (EDF).
Before the ceremony, the Acting Rector of ASOIU, Associate Professor Vazeh Asgarov, met with Elnur Nasibov, the Chairman of the EDF's Board of Directors, and the representative team. During the meeting, they discussed the participation of universities in current projects, upcoming objectives, strategic directions of activities, and plans.
Subsequently, during the ceremony awarding the students who achieved success in the IELTS exams, Associate Professor Vazeh Asgarov, Acting Rector of ASOIU, commended and congratulated 53 students who demonstrated success in the project, which saw participation from over 100 ASOIU students. Associate Professor Vazeh Asgarov, mentioning his support for the initiatives aimed at enhancing the knowledge of young people in areas with educational demand, emphasized the significant importance of the project encouraging students to take the IELTS exam.
Elnur Nasibov, the Chairman of the EDF's Board of Directors, provided information to the participants about the ongoing projects. It was noted that among the 7 participating universities in the project, ASOIU students achieved the highest results.
Following this, the students who excelled in the IELTS exams were awarded.
It is worth mentioning that the implementation of the project, aiming to encourage academic and educational staff of universities to take the IELTS exam, began in October 2022 under the Education Development Fund. The project aims to support the creation of favorable conditions for academic and educational staff to master the English language.
Within the project framework, the expenses for up to 300 academic staff members and students who participated in the IELTS exam and achieved high scores were covered by the Education Development Fund.
