On September 28, the election gathering of the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) area branch of "NAP Nasimi District Organization at Azadlıq Avenue 20" was held at the Azerbaijani-French University.

The event was attended by ASOIU's Acting Rector, Associate Professor Vazeh Asgarov, the Chair of NAP's Nasimi District Organization, Azar Suleymanov, and academic staff from both educational institutions. At the beginning of the reporting-election meeting, a minute of silence was observed in memory of the great leader Heydar Aliyev, the founder of the New Azerbaijan Party, and our heroes who died in the Patriotic War.

Afterwards, Azar Suleymanov, the Chair of NAP Nasimi District Organization, delivered a speech discussing the political situation in the country at the inception of NAP. He emphasized that the establishment of the party during the tumultuous and challenging days of Azerbaijani history marked a cornerstone in the strengthening and development of the young state. He noted that the creation of NAP and the election of the party's leader, the great leader Heydar Aliyev, as President in October 1993, based on the will of the people, laid the foundation for a new era and a new stage of development in Azerbaijan.

Associate Professor Vazeh Asgarov, Acting Rector of ASOIU, spoke about the necessity of NAP's establishment and the invaluable contributions of the party to our country's development. He emphasized that the timely and well-executed election and the unity of our people around NAP, actively contributing to the country's progress, are now yielding their results. Vazeh Asgarov highlighted the pivotal role played by the New Azerbaijan Party, founded by the eminent leader Heydar Aliyev, which has transformed from the day of its inception into a people's party, influencing all directions of our country's socio-political life.

Tamilla Naibova, deputy Chair of NAP's first organization at ASOIU, delivered a report, after which the election of the new chairman was put to a vote. Salman Salmanov, director of ASOIU's ICT department, was elected as the Chair of the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University area branch, while Tamilla Naibova, Associate Professor, was elected as Deputy Chair.

Expressing his gratitude for the trust placed in him, Salman Salmanov spoke about the need always to pay attention and care to the youth in Azerbaijan. He emphasized the reforms carried out at the state level aimed at shaping the youth into resilient, knowledgeable individuals, including becoming worthy citizens. He noted that NAP is also the party of youth and assured that ASOIU members, who are members of NAP, will actively participate in the life of the university and society.

Lastly, the newly accepted youth members were given their NAP membership cards.
