On October 13, an event titled "Azerbaijan in the Last 20 Years" dedicated to the activities of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the President of the victorious Aliyev era, and the leader of the New Azerbaijan Party, Ilham Aliyev, was held in collaboration between the New Azerbaijan Party (NAP) Nasimi District Organization, and the Nasimi District Executive Power at the Azerbaijan-French University operating under the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU).
The event was attended by Asif Asgarov, the Head of the Nasimi District Executive Power, Azar Suleymanov, the Head of the YAP Nasimi District Organization, Vazeh Asgarov, a member of the New Azerbaijan Party (YAP) Board and the Acting Rector of ASOIU, along with the university's academic staff, as well as young party members who stand out in the fields of science, culture, education, public, scientific-pedagogical activities, and sports in Nasimi district, active students of the higher educational institutions; and representatives of the Nasimi district community.
The event began with a minute of silence in memory of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev and the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan. After the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was played, a video presentation dedicated to the 20-year activity of President Ilham Aliyev, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Chairman of the New Azerbaijan Party, was shown.
Azar Suleymanov, the Head of the Nizami district organization of the New Azerbaijan Party, stated that undoubtedly, the pinnacle of these 20 years of the century is marked by the Patriotic War resulting in the liberation of our occupied lands and the restoration of our territorial integrity. He mentioned that the Victory in Karabakh won under the leadership of the President, the victorious Supreme Commander Ilham Aliyev, is inscribed in golden letters in the heroic history of our people, transforming Azerbaijan into a victorious country.
During his speech, Asif Asgarov, the Head of the Nasimi District Executive Power, emphasized that when we look at the 20 years of Ilham Aliyev's leadership, we witness successes in all areas of our republic, especially in public administration. Affirming that the foundation of Azerbaijan's current dynamic development was laid by the national leader Heydar Aliyev, he spoke about the unparalleled successes achieved over the past 20 years, especially highlighting the historic victory of the Azerbaijani Army in liberating our lands from the enemy's occupation, attributing it to the farsighted policy and strong will of the Victorious Supreme Commander Ilham Aliyev. During his speech, Asif Asgarov emphasized that he wholeheartedly supports this political course, considering it as the only and irreplaceable choice, which ensures the security and prosperity of our people's future.
Vazeh Asgarov, member of the NAP Board and Acting Rector of ASOIU, emphasized that the foundation of the modern Azerbaijani state's development was laid by the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev, highlighted the dynamic development of the country in all directions over the past 20 years under the leadership of President and Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev.
Due to the leadership of the Victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev and the unity of the Army and the People, Azerbaijan, as emphasized by Associate Professor Vazeh Asgarov, affirmed its status as a victorious nation by liberating our ancestral lands from nearly 30 years of occupation. He underscored that it is every Azerbaijani's duty to continue fostering development in those liberated territories, contributing to the rapid development of our country.
V. Asgarov also touched upon the attention given by the Head of state to the development of education and training. He stated that today, higher education institutions that respond to modern challenges operate in our country, and significant reforms, especially in the field of education, provide ample opportunities for education to develop in line with the requirements of the time.
Following this, Javanshir Abdullayev, the Chairman of the ASOIU Student Youth Organization, spoke, stating that the decrees and orders signed by President Ilham Aliyev, aimed at the formation of young people as knowledgeable and patriotic personalities, were the main basis for the development of youth policy. He mentioned that in our country, all conditions have been created for the development of youth, and he expressed pride in being an Azerbaijani youth.
At the end of the event, a group of new members joining the party ranks were presented with party membership cards.
