Rector of the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) Mustafa Babanli, who is on a visit to the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug of Russia, in order to attend the I International academic oil congress named after Farman Salmanov, held a meeting at Yugorsk State University (YSU).
At the meeting attended by the vice-rectors of the Yugorsk State University, directory and the leading scientists of the institutes, YSU rector Tatyana Karminskaya provided information about the university. Later the directory of YSU institute made brief presentations on main research areas.
Providing information to the event participants about the education system in Azerbaijan, rector of ASOIU, M. Babanli noted that the admission exams are enabled in a centralized manner. Noting that 2312 young people gained more than 500 points in the entrance exam for 2018/2019 academic year, rector emphasized that 1082 of these students have chosen ASOIU. Saying that 12500 students are studying at ASOIU at present, rector M.Babanli underlined that, over 10,000 of them are studying full-time at the Bachelor's degree.
Providing information about the university that she leads, rector of YSU Tatyana Karminskaya noted that, the professionals for the industry are trained in this university. The meeting featured a discussion on the development of cooperation between the two universities in various areas.
Later, the meeting participants visited the scientific laboratories and centers of YSU and got acquainted with the conditions created here.
