In order to attend I International Academic Oil Congress named after Farman Salmanov the rector of the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU), professor Mustafa Babanli, as well as  the administration of Yugorsk State University and more than 50 representatives of the Azerbaijani diaspora  who were on a trip to the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug of Russia, visited a statue of the prominent scientist.

Rector of ASOIU, professor Mustafa Babanli expressed his gratitude to Tatiana Karminskaya, the rector of YSU for the invitation to Khanty-Mansi and organizing the meeting with the Azerbaijanis. Making a speech in front of the Azerbaijani diaspora, rector, M.Babanli recalled the memory of the prominent scientist, a graduate of AzII Farman Salmanov.

After visiting the statue, the participants visited the Museum of Geology, oil and gas. Rector of ASOIU, professor Mustafa Babanli provided information the children about prominent scientist Farman Salmanov and stressed that he is proud of the graduate of the university. In the end, one of the children recited a poem in Azerbaijani.
