On February 28, rector of Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU), professor Mustafa Babanli visited Cərrahpaşa University, one of the most prestigious universities of the Republic of Turkey and met with the professor Nuri Aydin, rector of the university.
Rector of the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ADNSU), professor Mustafa Babanli, who attended the IV Eurasian Higher Education Summit that held in Istanbul on February 27-March 1, visited Cərrahpaşa University, one of the most prestigious universities of the Republic of Turkey on February 28 and met professor Nuri Aydın, rector of the University. Rector of University Nuri Aydin provided information about the university that he heads, the educational process, realized projects. Noting that 206 universities are functioning in Turkey at present, the rector emphasized that the university ranks among the top five universities in the country and holds the first place on some specialties. Noting that there are extensive opportunities for the study of foreign students at the University, he underlined that currently, 170 Azerbaijani students study at the university. Expressing his gratitude to the rector of University, professor Nuri Aydin for the sincere welcome, rector of the ASOIU, professor Mustafa Babanlı, noted that the university that he heads possess rich experience in the training of specialists in oil industry and technical and technological specialties. Speaking about the contributions made by ASOIU to the development of science in the world in the geology, oil and gas mining, petrochemical and energy fields during 100 years of its history, rector M.Babanli provided information about the projects implemented at the university, including HPC and Laser Centers and "Eazi START" Startup and Innovation Center. Speaking about the educational process, admission process at ASOIU, rector M.Babanli also stressed that the extensive opportunities and the rich experience gained over the decades are available for foreign students in the university.
The meeting also featured a discussion on cooperation issues between ASOIU and Cərrahpaşa University, as well as conducting joint scientific works, coordination of educational programs, exchange of students and teachers.
