On May 30, the event dedicated to the 110th anniversary of the prominent literary critic, honored scientist, academician Hamid Arasli was held at AzII E-Book House of the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU). The meeting was attended by the academic staff and students of the university.

ASOIU Vice-Rector for Educational Affairs, Associate Professor Ata Babayev in his speech stressed that the Decree of the President Ilhan Aliyev dated 11 February 2019 "On the celebration of the 110th anniversary of Academician Hamid Arasli" is another example of care and attention to our science and literature. Ata Babayev talked about the scientific activity of the prominent scientist, his great contribution to the formation of the history of Azerbaijan literature.

Making a speech at the event, Head of the Department of the Azerbaijani language, Professor Rustam Kamal noted that in the heritage of the scientist, classical literature, folklore, textual criticism, the literature of eastern nations and contemporary literature remained a worthy place in the world community. Stressing that  Hamid Arasli is one of the founders of the history of Azerbaijani literature, Professor Rustam Kamal said that he is known as the first researcher of Kitabi Dada Gorgud, the immortal monument of our people.

Then academic staff and students spoke on the literary and artistic heritage of the academician.
