On June 11, the Rector of Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU), professor Mustafa Babanli met with the President of the University of Toulouse of France, professor Jean Pierre Vinel and Vice President of International Relations Fabrice Dumas.
Expressing his pleasure to welcome the guests at the university, Rector, Professor M.Babanli thanked them for coming to ASOIU.
Providing information to the guests about the history, international relations and faculties of ASOIU, Rector, professor M.Babanli spoke about the cooperation with the French universities and noted that Azerbaijan-French University (UFAZ) that functioning under the university is the most successful of the two countries' universities. Saying that by the establishment of UFAZ the cooperation expanded with French universities, Rector M.Babanli underlined that ASOIU is interested in cooperation with other French universities. Speaking about cooperation with Toulouse University on dual diplomas and students' exchange, Rector, Professor M.Babanli highlighted that there are all possibilities for establishing contacts in science and doctoral studies.
Noting that there is a great deal of common interest in education with ASOIU, Professor Jean Pierre Vinel, President of the French University of Toulouse said that cooperation at the university has always been highly valued, and he talked about possible cooperation with ASOIU. Stressing the importance of choosing the right direction in the cooperation, Professor Jean Pierre Vinel noted that joint works on "Artificial Intelligence" can be done.
In the end, Jean Pierre Vinelle has been presented a memorial gift. After the meeting, the guests visited the History Museum of the University.
