On September 18 Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) held a meeting with the first-year students of Faculty of Geological Exploration and Power Engineering.The meeting was attended by ASOIU Vice-Rector for Educational Affairs, Associate Professor Ata Babayev, Chairman of the Student Trade Union Committee (STUC) Namig Ganjayev and the Chairman of the Student Youth Organization Mugaddas Azizzade.

ASOIU Vice-Rector A. Babayev congratulated the students for being admitted to the university and wished them success. Introducing the discipline rules to the students of ASOIU, the Vice-Rector invited the students to follow these rules and to be active in teaching process.

After providing wide information about the notable alumni of university, history, and specialties the Chairman of the Student Trade Union Committee of ASOIU (STUC) N. Ganjayev, familiarized them with numerous sections of STUC. He underlined that, the organizers of  “Ganjlik” song and dance ensemble, “Magnat” intellectual club, “Club of funny and resourceful people” (KVN), as well as sports club that combines 12 types of sports and other sections are students. N. Ganjayev invited the  students to be active in the social life of the university and these clubs.
