On September 24 Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) held a meeting with the first-year students of Faculty of Oil and Gas Production. The meeting was attended by Director of Information Technology Department of ASOIU Elnur Safarli, Deputy Director of the Department Salman Salmanov, Director of AzII E-Book House Salahat Mahmudova.Making a speech, S. Mahmudova, Director of AzII E-Book House provided information to first-year students about the AzII E-Book House of the university.She noted that ASOIU's fundamental library is one of the richest and oldest university libraries in the country. Currently there are nearly 1 million copies of print products, dissertations, abstracts, periodicals, traditional and electronic catalogs, as well as electronic media in the library.On December 27, 2018, ASOIU's AzII E-Book House that operates 24 hours was established on the basis of the fundamental Library of Azerbaijan State oil and Industry University. The two-story book house provides a comfortable reading environment for students with wide reading halls. All conditions were created for the student to read. Then Director of Information Technology Department of ASOIU Elnur Safarli made a speech. After congratulating the students admitted to ASOIU, prvided them comprehensive information about the condition created at the university for the training of students.He underlined that, the application of modern technologies in the provision of qualitative education in leading universities is playing an important role. In this regard, ASOIU is an educational institution where technological innovations are applied to the teaching process. The application of electronic control systems at the university including the AzII E-Book House, establishing Web auditoriums, providing reliable and sustainable activity of information systems reflects in qualitative education.The latest technologies are used in organization of integration of information systems with another systems, development of innovative projects and establishing of new educational system.E.Safarli added that one important point is the active participation of the academic staff as well as students of the university in achieving these successes and preparation of new projects.
