On September 25, the first meeting of Academic Board of 2019-2020 was held at Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU). Rector of ASOIU, professor Mustafa Babanli first provided information about the issues on the agenda and spoke about the priorities of education in the 2019-2020 academic year, upcoming issues in science and technology, implemented work, international relations and many current issues.

Noting that the high qualitative education lay on the basis of all the work to be implemented, Rector M.Babanli considered admission in ASOIU satisfactory in current year. He highlighted that today's education is modern education and should be organized in accordance with new challenges. Therefore, the teaching process must be based on the student, student is the main side in education.

Making a speech Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Associate Professor Gasim Mammadov provided comprehensive information to the attendees on the results of the 2018-2019 academic year and objectives of staff in new academic year, as well as the results of admission to ASOIU on master and bachelor levels and other issues related to teaching. He spoke about the successes and shortcomings of the faculty by glancing the quality indicators of the faculties and the various specialties.

Then the issues on agenda were discussed and the students received answers to their questions.
