On September 26 Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) held a meeting with the first-year students of Faculty of Information Technology and Control. The meeting was attended by ASOIU Vice-Rector for Educational Affairs, Associate Professor Ata Babayev ,Chairman of the Student Trade Union Committee (STUC) Namig Ganjayev and students.

ASOIU Vice-Rector A. Babayev congratulated the students for being admitted to the university and wished them success.Introducing the discipline rules to the students of ASOIU, the Vice-Rector invited the students to follow these rules and to be active in teaching process.

Speaking about the university, the Chairman of the Student Trade Union Committee of ASOIU (STUC) N. Ganjayev provided comprehensive information to the students about the notable alumni of university, history, and specialties. He familiarized first-year students with numerous sections of STUC. He underlined that, the organizers of  “Ganjlik” song and dance ensemble, “Magnat” intellectual club, “Club of funny and resourceful people” (KVN), as well as sports club and other sections are students. Here the education is based on the student and they take an active part active in the social life of the university.

Ganjayev then recommended each student to be serious in their studies, avoiding to copy during the exams or using technical means for this purpose. He added that today the ASOIU has created all the conditions for a high level of education and the main duty of students is to benefit of this opportunity and receive a higher education.
