On September 27 AzII E-Book House of Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) joins the 6th Baku International Book Fair held by the organization of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
The opening ceremony dedicated to the 650th anniversary of great poet Nasimi was attended by the Minister of Culture and Tourism Abulfas Garayev, Deputy Prime Minister, Deputy Chairman and Executive Secretary of the ruling New Azerbaijan Party Ali Ahmadov, members of parliament, prominent poets and writers, the representatives of publishing house of different countries and others. Making a speech at the opening ceremony, Minister A. Garayev spoke about the great interest this year's exhibition and highlighted the orders of President Ilham Aliyev to enrich the libraries in the country. Sharing his impressions about the exhibition, Deputy Chairman and Executive Secretary of the ruling New Azerbaijan Party Ali Ahmadov congratulated the participants on the occasion of the book holiday and spoke about the importance of holding such exhibitions which had already turned into a tradition in our country. 100 books of AzII e-Book House was demonstrated at the exhibition. The demonstrated books include Heydar Aliyev’s heritage, ancient manuscripts, miniature books, and books covering other areas of oil and industry, as well as, ASOIU's "Oil and Industry" journal. Notably, 80 publications from Azerbaijan, while 40 publications from 22 foreign countries participate in the exhibition. Within the framework of the three-day fair beside the demonstration of the local and foreign publications, a number of events, book presentations and meetings with authors and signing days will be held. The exhibition will last until September 29.
