ASOIU signs memorandum with newly established Baku Drilling School

On December 21, Baku Drilling School, the most advanced Drilling Training Center in the region, has opened with the support of the SOCAR AQS.

The event was attended by SOCAR Vice President for Field Development Yashar Latifov, General Director of SOCAR Ramin Isayev, Director of Baku Drilling School LLC, Deputy Chairman of IWCF Europe Branch Nariman Mustafayev, Rector of Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU), Professor Mustafa Babanli, heads of other universities, representatives of local and international oil and gas industry.

Making a speech, SOCAR's General Director Ramin Isayev provided information on the newly established Baku Drilling School. He underlined that, "Baku Drilling School" brings together the leading companies and education institutions of oil and gas industry in order to train the specialists meeting the modern requirements. The main purpose of establishing such center is to make a significant contribution to the training of skilled personnel in the region's oil and gas industry. He noted that "Baku Drilling School" will soon take its rightful place among other training centers and will contribute to the recognition of the leading role of Azerbaijani drillers in the world.

In his speech, SOCAR Vice President Yashar Latifov spoke about the history of oil and gas industry in Azerbaijan and well-known specialists working in this area. He said that the Baku Drilling School will make a significant contribution to the training of qualified specialists for the development of the oil industry.

Speaking on the history of the oil, Nariman Mustafayev, Director of Baku Drilling School LLC, vice president of the IWCF European Branch, spoke about the importance of the newly opened modern Training Center in Baku. He noted that the new school will carry out its commitments.

At the opening ceremony, a memorandum was signed between Baku Drilling School LLC, ASOIU, as well as Azerbaijan-French University functioning under the ASOIU. The documents were signed by ASOIU's Rector Mustafa Babanli and director of Baku Drilling School LLC Nariman Mustafayev. Notably, Baku Drilling School has signed a contract with Azerbaijan Technical University on the first day.

At the end, the guests attended the opening ceremony of the Baku Drilling School and hot acquainted with the conditions created there.
