On February 21 scientific seminar dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the university was held at the Department of General and Applied Mathematics of the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU).

Head of the Department, Doctor of Sciences on Mathematics, Professor Araz Aliyev after opening the seminar,  the Associate Professor of the Department Elnur Khalilov made a speech on "Cubature formula for derivation of acoustic potentials". Then the questions of the Department staff were answered and exchange of views was made.

Notably, one of the methods for solving the boundary issues for the helmholts equation is the integral equation method. Since the exact solution of these equations is not possible in many cases, the issue of approximate solution of these equations arises.
