The 8th and 9th-graders of the secondary school № 182 made a school trip to Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) on May 1. The pupils visited the chemistry laboratory of “Oil and Chemical Technologies and Industrial Ecology” Department and became acquainted with technical equipment and laboratory-based works. Head of the Department Alakbar Hasanov provided the pupils with detailed information on the Faculty of Chemical Technology and the laboratories functioning in ASOIU. He also offered them to use ASOIU’s laboratories for their lab classes.
Furthermore, the pupils were welcomed by ASOIU’s Vice-Rector for educational affairs Associate Professor Ata Babayev who expressed his satisfaction with seeing the schoolchildren at ASOIU and recommended them to be disciplined at their lessons and well-prepared for their daily assignments.
Notably, the purpose of the school trip of the secondary school students to the Faculty of Chemical Technology of ASOIU is to develop their academic skills and increase their interest in chemistry.
