The leading specialists of SOCAR’s Department of Geophysics and Geology together with the Public Union “National Committee of Geophysics of Azerbaijan” held on May 2 a presentation on “The new equipment and technology utilized in geophysical studies” at the Faculty of Geological Exploration of Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU). 

ASOIU's Vice-Rector for scientific-technical affairs (scientific works), Doctor of Technical Sciences Rauf Aliyarov, acting Dean at the Faculty of Geological Exploration Namad Pashayev, faculty's academic staff and students attended the event. The presentation was made by Hikmat Alizade, the leading expert of the Department of Geophysics and Geology. The main purpose of the presentation was to inform the students majoring in Geophysics about the new technological equipment and technology applied in geophysical works and increase awareness among the students about operation principles and functions of the new technical equipment.  

At the end of the event, the questions of the students were answered by the specialists.
