Ramil Bakhtizin, Rector of Ufa State Petroleum Technological University (USPTU), paid a visit to Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) on May 10. The meeting was attended by Rector of ASOIU Professor Mustafa Babanli, university's academic staff, and students.
Rector of ASOIU Professor Mustafa Babanli expressed his satisfaction with having the guest at the university and noted that R. Bakhtizin will always remain as a distinguished guest of a university where he once conducted a research work as a doctoral student.
"We all know that deep inside you are also an Azerbaijani. For receiving an education and doing a research work here, you are as dear to us as ASOIU is home to you. Besides, we are proud of our cooperation in higher education. I am confident that the partnership between our universities will continue to develop from here on steadily and our relations will expand even further" - said Rector M. Babanli.
Rector of USPTU R. Bakhtizin noted although more than 30 years had passed, he still experienced the same feelings in this dear educational institution. Baku and ASOIU play a crucial role in my life, and Azerbaijan is also my second motherland, underlined R. Bakhtizin.
"This university is indeed very special to me since those times. Today I feel myself in a motherland again. 30 years have already passed since then, and I am proud to be among AzII alumni" - noted R. Bakhtizin.
Talking about Azerbaijan's distinguished scientist, Doctor of Engineering Sciences Azad Mirzajanzade's activity at USPTU, Rector R. Bakhtizin shared his memories of him and showed the academician's photos taken with his professor colleagues at USPTU.
Then, the event participants talked about the works implemented in 2016-2017 academic year and upcoming innovations. Rector of USPTU R. Bakhtizin informed M. Babanli about high examination results of the students who studied in Ufa last semester and mentioned USPTU's keen interest in cooperation with ASOIU in the sphere of student exchange.
At the end of the event, the guest was given a gift on behalf of the university.
