Professor Mustafa Babanli, Rector of Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU), met on May 15 with Rossen Papazov, General Director of “Holcim (Azerbaijan)” OJSC. Featuring the perspectives of bilateral cooperation, the meeting included discussions on future projects and upcoming plans.
Rector of ASOIU Professor Mustafa Babanli informed the guests about the university and noted that the goods produced by “Holcim (Azerbaijan)” OJSC are of particular importance for Azerbaijan. Mentioning his intention to implement a number of works together with “Holcim (Azerbaijan)”, the Rector underlined that along with the production of high-quality goods, the company also provides high cultural service and holds a vital position in Azerbaijan’s industry.
“The products supplied by “Holcim (Azerbaijan)” are essential for our country. Holcim cement is prepared based on new technologies, and highly-qualified personnel works at the company. Undertaking an internship at a prestigious company like Holcim offers a great experience to our students” – said Rector, Professor Mustafa Babanli.
We are carrying out a number of works to build a bridge between the university and company and to convert this higher education institution into a business environment, informed the Rector and expressed his willingness to enhance these activities further and to create new programs based on new standards.
General Director of “Holcim (Azerbaijan)” OJSC, R. Papazov talked about the significance of the company’s relations with ASOIU and mentioned that the university’s graduates hold important positions at the company and fulfill their duties with great responsibility. Also noting the importance of business and university cooperation, the General Director underlined that these relations serve the development of both sides.
At the end, the parties signed a cooperation agreement.
