Rector of Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) Professor Mustafa Babanli met with the rectors of several higher education institutions in Lanzhou (Gansu province) of the People's Republic of China on May 24-25. During the negotiations with Lanzhou University and Lanzhou City University, the sides agreed to invite Chinese students to study at ASOIU and conduct teacher exchange.

At the meeting, the parties discussed the establishment of ASOIU’s branch in Oil and Gas Engineering under Lanzhou City University. It is also planned to conduct scientific and technical research on various fields together with the departments of Lanzhou High-Tech Industrial Zone.
