Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) held a meeting with its alumni on July 1.
The event was attended by Rector of ASOIU Professor Mustafa Babanli, Vice-Rectors, state and public representatives, MPs, alumni of AzII and members of the media.
Making an opening statement, Rector of ASOIU Professor M. Babanli greeted the guests and delivered a detailed report on the results of 2016/2017 academic year. Rector M. Babanli brought to the attention of the guests a report on students' academic indicators, examination results of young people studying at the French-Azerbaijani University, science center, electronic university, international cooperation, university events held throughout the year, collaboration with companies, Alumni Career Fair, works carried out by the Public Relations Department, “Oil and Industry” magazine and other reforms conducted at ASOIU.
Compared to last year, this year’s admission to both Bachelor’s and Master’s degree levels was higher, noted Rector M. Babanli and stressed that the academic indicators and examination grades of those students were high as well. The Rector pointed out that the implemented reforms and establishment of a transparent education environment at the university offer ample opportunities to the youth.
Activities and projects of the Startup school were also featured in the speech of Rector M. Babanli. The report was followed by the presentation of startup and innovative ideas. Multivizor, smart keyboard, interactive board, smart bag and other startup projects were presented to the guests by ASOIU students.
The event continued with a concert organized in the yard of the university. The performances of the university’s “Ganjlik” song and dance ensemble, Baku Music Academy, representatives of Azerbaijan National Conservatory, as well as famous singers of the republic made the event more memorable.
