Rector of Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) Professor Mustafa Babanli met on July 21 with Fikrat Aliyev, General Director at “SOCAR Fugro” LLC.
The meeting featured discussions on cooperation directions between the parties, as well as the ways to solve some mutual issues.
Talking about startup projects and cooperation with enterprises, Rector of ASOIU Professor M. Babanli noted the significance of selecting common topics in the preparation of specialists required in the labor market and businesses. Development of relations between the universities and companies is of particular importance to study current technical problems and use their ways of solution said M. Babanli, underlining that the university will carry out some works to choose the subjects required at enterprises, transform them into an academic discipline and develop their application.
Rector, Professor M. Babanli also pointed out that selected topics by the enterprises will carve a path for the forthcoming scientific projects.
F. Aliyev, General Director at “SOCAR Fugro” LLC, noted that they attach great importance to cooperation with ASOIU and are pleased to collaborate in the training of professionals. Furthermore, F. Aliyev said that students’ internship at enterprises and teaching of subjects required for those industries serve the interests of both sides, thus they look forward to continuing the cooperation in this area.
At the of the event, the parties signed a cooperation contract.
Notably, 11 students of the university have been chosen to participate in the summer internship program at “SOCAR Fugro” LLC as part of joint cooperation.
