Rector of Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) Professor Mustafa Babanli met on July 21 with a group of media representatives on the occasion of the National Press Day. Rector, Professor M. Babanli congratulated the journalists with the 142nd anniversary of the establishment of the National Press and wished the media representatives success in their responsible and honorable activities.

Rector M. Babanli informed the media representatives about the conducted reforms and implemented works at the university. Underlining the significance of broadening the links between media and educational institutions, Rector M. Babanli pointed out that journalists play a particular role in featuring the innovations and events of ASOIU in the press.

Deputy Editor-in-Chief of “Respublika” (Republic) newspaper Hummat Musayev, Editor-in-Chief of the information portal Moderator.az Zulfugar Huseynzade, Editor-in-Chief of “News” Department in Azerbaijani at CBC TV channel Saadat Mammadova and others noted that they are well informed about the works implemented at ASOIU. They stressed that a higher education institution with roots as ASOIU has ample opportunities to increase its reputation on an international level and advance on ranking lists. Media representatives thanked Rector M. Babanli for the meeting organized on the occasion of the National Press Day.
