Rector of Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University Professor Mustafa Babanli will participate in the work of the II Azerbaijan-Vietnam Friendship Forum dedicated to the 25th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to take place on September 21-23 in Vung Tau, Vietnam.
The initiative to hold the Azerbaijan-Vietnam Friendship Forum was made by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. Thus, while on an official visit to Vietnam in 2014, during the meeting with the Vietnamese alumni of the Azerbaijani higher education institutions, President Ilham Aliyev gave orders to the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Vietnam to hold in Baku the Azerbaijan-Vietnam Friendship Forum. On the basis of this, the I Azerbaijan-Vietnam Friendship Forum was successfully held on May 7, 2015.
During the II Forum, it is expected to reward with the Friendship Order of Vietnam Azerbaijan’s three educational institutions, including Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University that have played an exceptional role in the training of Vietnamese specialists.
The Friendship Order is conferred by the President of Vietnam to people and organizations that have played a significant role in the establishment of Vietnam’s friendly relations with other countries. Relevant procedures regarding the awarding are currently underway.
