On November 6, an event dedicated to Victory Day - November 8, was held at the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU).
Commencing with a wreath-laying ceremony at the memorial complex dedicated to the memory of ASOIU alumni who became martyrs in the Patriotic War, the event opened with the rendition of the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan. A minute of silence followed, paying tribute to the revered martyrs who laid down their lives for Azerbaijan's territorial integrity.

Acting Rector of ASOIU, Associate Professor Vazeh Asgarov, greeted the participants and conveyed congratulations on Victory Day. Speaking about the glorious Victory achieved by the Azerbaijani Army in the 44-day Patriotic War under the decisive, visionary, and sagacious leadership of Supreme Commander-in-Chief, President Ilham Aliyev, Associate Professor Vazeh Asgarov emphasized that among the heroes who brought this victory to us, the memory of ASOIU 23 martyred alumni will always be held in high regard and will remain a place of eternal pride for the university.

Then a film dedicated to Victory Day was showcased.

Associate Professor Ata Babayev, the Vice-Rector for Educational Affairs at ASOIU, discussed the 44-day Patriotic War, the triumph achieved, and the sacrifices made by our heroic sons for the sake of our Motherland.

Family members and relatives of the martyrs who participated in the event shared their memories regarding the martyrs involved in the historic victory. They expressed their deep gratitude to the university administration for the profound respect shown to them.
