On November 15, as part of his visit to Azerbaijan, Professor Dr. Rubén Ascua, the Rector of Argentina's National University of Rafaela, accompanied by a delegation, visited Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) and met with Acting Rector, Associate Professor Vazeh Asgarov.
In the meeting, which was attended by ASOIU's Vice-Rector for International Relations, Associate Professor Rafig Jamalov, and the Acting Executive Director of UFAZ, Latifa Nasibova, potential areas of collaboration between the two higher education institutions were discussed.
Welcoming the guests to the university, Associate Professor Vazeh Asgarov provided detailed information about ASOIU, including its establishment history, teaching and education processes, specialties, international relations, and dual degree programs.
Highlighting ASOIU's status as a leading educational institution with an engineering profile in the country, Associate Professor Vazeh Asgarov discussed the application of modern scientific technology in the teaching process and provided information about the Azerbaijan-French University operating under ASOIU.
Reminding the guests of ASOIU's existing collaborative relationships with several leading universities globally, Associate Professor Vazeh Asgarov expressed hope for the effectiveness of cooperation with the National University of Rafaela.
In return, Dr. Rubén Ascua, the Rector of Argentina's National University of Rafaela, expressed sincere gratitude for the warm reception and provided detailed information about the university he leads. He mentioned being knowledgeable about ASOIU and expressed interest in collaboration with this prominent higher education institution.
During the meeting, the importance of creating beneficial cooperation, implementing joint scientific projects, and placing special emphasis on the exchange of the professorial and teaching staff, as well as students, was emphasized.
At the end of the meeting, the parties exchanged commemorative gifts. Later, the guests toured the university, getting a closer look and visiting ASOIU's History Museum.
