Student project garners interest at the exhibition during SPECA week

Azerbaijani twin brothers, Farid and Rufat Shikhiyev's project attracted the interest of representatives from Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan at the exhibition "Expo of SPECA Countries: Regional Collaboration for Sustainable Development," held within the framework of the United Nations Special Programme for the Economies of Central Asia (SPECA) week at the Baku Expo Center. They presented their artificial intelligence-based project at the Azerbaijan booth during the exhibition.

Farid Shikhiyev is a student at the Information Technologies and Control Faculty of Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University. His brother, Rufat Shikhiyev, who is also one of the idea authors behind the project, is a student at Azerbaijan Technical University.

It's worth noting that the brothers operate as residents at the "Innoland" Incubation and Acceleration Center. Their project, the "Wheelchair," is a smart wheelchair mechanism designed to be controlled by the head and eye movements of patients suffering from amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, providing a solution for those facing difficulties due to this disease.
